Student Visa
A Canada Student Visa allows the person who has it to start their studies in Canada. The visa for students is basically the same as a Canada Visitor Visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTa), but the student also needs a study permit. So the Canada student visa is a combination of either a visitor visa and a study permit or an eTA and a study permit.
Work While you Study
With your studies as a student in Canada, You are allowed to work 20 hours per week. A co-op work permit also allows you to work.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from eligible Canadian designated learning institutions (DLIs) to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable Canadian work experience. Skilled Canadian work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0 or skill level A or B.
Spouse or Common-law Partner Open Work Permit
A spouse open work permit is given to spouses or common law-partners of international students studying full-time in Canada. When your spouse has an open work permit, he or she can work full-time on or off-campus while you continue studying in Canada.
Bringing Family to Canada While Study
As a student in Canada, you can apply for your family member tourist visa such as your mother or father.
